As I watch you Grow

Saturday, November 27, 2010

Do you know how much you mean to me?
As you grow into what you will be.
You came from within, from just beneath my heart
it's there you'll always be though your own life will now start
.You're growing so fast it sends me awhirl,
With misty eyes I ask, Where's my little girl?
I know sometimes to you I seem harsh and so unfair,
But one day you will see, I taught you well because I care.
The next few years will so quickly fly,
With laughter and joy, mixed with a few tears to cry.
As you begin your growth to womanhood, this fact you must know,
You'll always be my source of pride, no matter where you go.
You must stand up tall and proud, within you feel no fear,
For all you dreams and goals, sit before you very near.
With god's love in your heart and the world by its tail,
You'll always be my winner, and victory will prevail.
For you this poem was written, with help from above,
To tell you in a rhythm of your Mother's heartfelt Love!

This poem is dedicated to my daughter Mykie Yesha Malate

CHILD

A Child Lives What He Learns
If a child lives with criticism, he learns to condemn.
If a child lives with ridicule, he learns to be shy.
If a child lives with hostility, he learns to fight.
If a child lives with shame, he learns to feel guilty.
If a child lives with tolerance, he learns to be patient.
If a child lives with encouragement, he learns confidence.
If a child lives with praise, he learns appreciation.
If a child lives with fairness, he learns justice.
If a child lives with security, he learns to have faith.
If a child lives with approval, he learns to like himself.
If a child lives with acceptance and friendship, he learns to find love in the world.

Manila Zoo

We visited manila zoo last march 2010 as a graduation gift for my dauhter Mykie yesha and my niece Carmela faye together with my sister jenny and my youngest daughter Myka Yunise.
upon entering the zoo premises the first animals that we see is the Elephant ,it was a sight to behold speially for the kids na-amazed sila sa elephant!i just hope they give the elephant a mate malungkot tignan na mag isa lang sya sa cage nya!the zoo are improving since our last visit last 2006 the animal cage are more wide specially sa reptiles area,no foul odor, the facilities improve and the animals are more healtier!the kids enjoyed the visit and also the mom's in a nimute i feel like a kid again!of course it will not be complete without the pictures,oh im snapping kids photo the whole day,we were not able to ride the lagoon kasi natakut sumakay si myka, here's some pictures of our visit!

manila zoo was a great destination, because kid's  can interact with animals and you can enjoy without spending that much it was a reasonable trip.manila zoo entrance fee is cheaper at 60.00  for adult and 40.00 for kids!!!

Malabon zoo

Friday, November 26, 2010

It was sunday of june 2010(i cant remember the date) after we hear a mornig mass and have our lunch we go straight at Malabon Zoo right behind the Potrero Elementary School,i was excited because when you see some clips of malabon zoo in tv i might say the place is interesting, hah maybe thats because of the modern technology they can adjust the colors,or find the perfect spot before you air it on tv.i was a little bit dis-appointed sa entrance fee pa lang i thinks a little bit too much for 200 pesos but anyways since andun na tumuloy na kami.as we go inside much more of my dis-appointment the whole zoo was so small too accompany some animals, you just tour the zoo for 20 minutes and your done and the place has awful smell specially sa cage ng tiger and the facilities is not that good the chairs and table where u can rest and eat was placed in the middle of the zoo in front of tiger cage(and sana yung mga personnel nila and tour guide was wearing proper dress naman)!my eldest was dis-appointed too, sabi nya"mama sana sa manila zoo na lang ulit tyu pumunta!" but she started to have some interest na din when the caretaker has the snake out and let the visitor see as the snake eat the chicks, kaya lang umiyak nung kinakain na yung sisiw, then later yung uranggutang na yung nilabas ng caretaker named marimar daw.you can post for the picture kasma yung uranggutang kaya lang may bayad na 50.00 pesos.the whole trip was a new experience to us but i might ask my self,to visit again? ill think about it =(

Museo Pambata

Wednesday, November 24, 2010

We went to the place one week before the classes start ,we arrive 30 minutes before 12 noon, the desk receptionist who issues tickets told us that there will be a lunch break from 12:00 pm to 1 pm and that we can go inside now and leave for lunch then come back again.so i just decided to wait na lang as we wait we took some picture of that old huge broken down helicopter, still a part of the museum's attractions.

As soon as we were inside, I started snapping pictures of my kids. Our first stop, the Filipiniana section. Lots of interesting things here but there's not much a small kid can do.in the other room there was a huge aquarium,a mangrove and nipa hut!a replica of church and filipino heroes room.

There are lots of good stuff there on the 2nd floor. The human body is the first exhibit. There's a huge face with carpeted tongue sticking out welcoming curious onlookers. You can pass through the mouth to get inside but myka was squeamish and didn't want to get in Inside, there are huge representations of body parts. Kids will learn the purpose of each organs with plastic veins protruding.

Our next stop is where My  kids started to enjoy our trip. We passed by play stores with props to match. there was a market,a kubo, carinderia where my daughter stayed longer.there was a fire truck and a pharnacy.next we have the Science section and the mini library!mykie was really amazed as we enter the science room they enjoyed the piano!

the whole visit is great, they really enjoy, ate mykie was crying pa when were about to leave the premises! it was very educational tour i really suggest this place to visit. they are open  tuesday to saturday and closed every monday! their entrance fee was reasonable for 100 pesos!
